Diary Of A Wimpy Kid

I was truly excited to see this movie. I had seen the trailer and I had read all the books, including the original online version. As soon as it started, I began to jump and down in my seat silently.
I did NOT have a single problem with this movie. Even when it was slightly unfathful to the book, it still managed to pull out all of the familiar moments in the books.
The movie succeeds on an emotional level that the books never could. The actors in all their entirety pulled off all their characters beautifully. I don't really have a favorite.
The cinematography helps portray the characters with stunning realism, and the cartoon scenes animate the flat 2-D drawings from the book amazingly. Even the very existence of the actual diary helps tie the whole book together.
The way the characters interact with each other neatly portrays their personalities perfectly. The filmakers could not have created a better score for this movie. All of the songs help pull the viewer closer to the characters true emotions. The wardorbe represents the character's personalities with ridiculously good precision.
Overall an excellent coming of age story , Four out of Five stars.
