When i first walked into Alice in Wonderland, I honestly was not expecting anything very big or flashy. I seriously misunderestimated it. While it is visually pleasing on a level similar to that of Avatar, Burton does a fantastic job of giving the characters a pleasing amount of depth. Carter and Depp do an excellent job as the Red Queen and The Mad Hatter. The overall pacing of the film keeps you interested. Don't be fooled by the slow beginning! Although it is a Disney film, it is much more intense than i thought it would be. The 3D actually does this film justice, enhancing the overall expierience. I give it a solid Five out of Five stars for good art direction, special effects, and acting.
